There are many things to love about Samae Beach in Koh Larn. The beach is stunning, with its white sand and water as far as the eye can see. Curling up on the sand and watching the waves break is a fantastic way to chill out from the busy pace in Pattaya.
Also, there are a lot of activities available here, and there’s never a dull moment with jet skis, island hopping, and all the other activities on offer. It’s one of the best beaches on the island.
I visited the island of Koh Larn many times on my trip, and I really liked Samae Beach. I’ll tell you everything you need to know. Let’s take a deeper look into Samae Beach Koh Larn.

ToggleWhere is Samae Beach?
Located on the west side of Koh Larn Island, Samae Beach is about 3km from the main pier (Na Ban Pier) and takes just over ten minutes to reach by scooter.
How to Get to Samae Beach?
Samae Beach is easily accessible from most areas of the island. On your motorbike, head south from Na Baan Pier and keep going straight for 1.3km until reaching Samae Beach.
After that, before Baan Ma Now Resort, turn right and follow the road, passing by Koh Larn Garbage Dump. Once you pass the smelly dump, turn left, and you’ll be at Samae Beach. If you have more time available, I recommend checking out other main beaches on the way.
What to Expect at Samae Beach
Samae Beach, also known as Pattaya Beach, is one of the most pristine areas of Koh Larn when it comes to stretches of sand, the clear blue water itself is simply stunning.
It’s cheap, you’ll have all sorts of tasty food and drinks from the restaurants along the popular beach as you relax on one of the loungers costing 100 baht per day. I found it cheaper than other beaches.
Gear such as snorkeling equipment, SUPs, and kayaks will be available for rent. There will be many restaurants for the seafood-loving people among us, which only many things better and more enjoyable.

Samae Beach in Koh Larn- FAQ
Last but not least, let’s discuss some more details about the island as a whole, which I think will be beneficial when visiting, especially if this is your first time.
Is Koh Larn Worth Visiting?
Yes, Ko Larn is definitely worth visiting because it is an extraordinary island escape, and to add to it, it’s just a short ferry ride away from Pattaya. Trimmed with powder-white sandy shores, it’s almost hard to find a more beautiful location anywhere in Thailand.
Even though it has become popular among tourists in the last few years, Koh Larn still feels like a hidden gem.
So much delicious seafood to try and fresh coconuts straight from the tree, too. It will exceed your expectations. From an intimate escape to a vacation with the family – Koh Larn is it.
Is Koh Larn Expensive?
Compared with other islands, Koh Larn is a cheap place to visit. You can get a room for as little as 500 baht per night and eat for as little as 100 baht, and relaxing by the beach is free.
Looking for somewhere to relax by the sea with wonderful beaches, go to Koh Larn, and it isn’t nearly as crowded as Pattaya.
Where to Stay in Koh Larn?
I recommend the area near Na Baan Pier, which is the place you will arrive to from Bali Hai Pier in Pattaya, and there are plenty of hotels around.
Most guesthouses pick up their guests here and rent motorbikes. This is a perfect place to start traveling around Koh Larn during the day and come back after sunset.
How Long to Stay in Koh Larn?
In order to have an unforgettable trip to Koh Larn, I would recommend staying at least 3 full days to make the most of it. Time needed for a visit with all the 3 main viewpoints, all types of seafood cuisines, and every other delicious Thai and Western food on the beautiful island.
How to Get Around in Koh Larn?
When it comes to getting around Koh Larn Island the most popular way is by motorbike. You can rent a 150-200 CC motorbike, most for around 250 baht per day. There is no car rental on the island.
What’s more, if you don’t ride a motorbike or are unable to ride, you can join in a day trip around Koh Larn. The tour guide will take you around the whole of Koh Larn which is the easiest way.
Conclusion
To sum up Samae Beach is best beach to visit on Koh Larn because on Koh Samae you have so many different types of food with beer, unlike the other side of the island. Enjoy your trip and relax, you deserve it!
Good idea – stay at Xanadu Beach resort, rent a scooter for a few days, and base at Samae Beach.
