Visit Khao San Road
Khao San Road is one of the most famous tourist destinations in town, particularly among young travelers and backpackers. The street is often called the center of the backpacker universe.
Geared towards international travelers, a cluster of cheap (at least by western standards) hotels, guest houses, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs can also be found around.
The book/movie The Beach by Alex Garland, released in the year 2000 made it famous, and you’ll probably recognized it if you watched it or Hangover 2.

The quintessential night experience is getting a Tuk-Tuk Night Tour. Discover the beauty of some of the most lit temples and experience an amazing street food treat at the Pak Khlong flower market – taste a unique side of life in the area!

After living in Thailand for a few years, Tuk Tuks aren’t really the way to get around for me, but I did join the tour when my parents came to visit, and it was the highlight of their trip!
What stands out to me on this tour is the time we get to visit the reclining Buddha, the temple that is one of my favorite things to do in Bangkok! It is always all lit up at night, and it’s much more enjoyable than the daytime with the crowds of tourists.
The drivers seem crazy at first, but don’t worry! They are absolutely cautious, and it’s safe, so relax and enjoy it. The tour will begin from Sam Yan MRT Station, so you will need to get there yourself (I recommend the Grab app for a taxi).
Since they’re so nice, these tours sell out very quickly, hence why I recommend booking as soon as possible to secure your spot.

Bangkok’s most famous rooftop bar Lebua Skybar offers panoramically views of the city and has a cocktail menu that is hard for anyone to pass up – and it’s located on the 45th level of Bangkok Marriott Hotel Sukhumvit.
The catch is that Lebua State Tower always get very busy, and you’ll have to book a table beforehand if you want to have dinner here (bookings don’t include food, only the table, but it’s all worth it).
For comparable views with a better location at the Icon Siam shopping mall, I highly recommend SEEN Restaurant & Bar Bangkok for its Sky Bar and predict you will love it.
That said, there is a particular one I love; it’s Sala Rattanakosin, set right in front of Wat Arun – you sip a beer, and with the bites of your choice, you watch the sun go down over Wat Arun and the boats passing on the Chao Phraya.
Did I mention that right behind you is Wat Pho, the Temple of the reclining Buddha? Enough said. All in all, this is one of the best rooftop bars in Bangkok – period.

Benjakitti Park has this peaceful vibe that makes it the perfect spot to unwind after a day of exploring and to get you started for the nightlife in Bangkok.
You can find a cozy spot on the grass or bring a little picnic to enjoy by the water. There’s also a path around the lake that’s great for a leisurely walk or bike ride while you watch the sunset.

It’s worth noting that traffic can be very chaotic in Bangkok, and you’ll want to leave very early when coming – It took us around 2 hours from the Siam area to Asiatique during peak time, so keep that in mind.
