Basic services on Fiverr cost $ 5, but there’s more than meets the eye. On average, sellers tend to offer extra gigs for amounts between $10 and 100 with their “Premium Gigs”. 

These allow you to make thousands of dollars per gig. Sure, while this isn’t a millionaire opportunity, you can definitely make a good living out of it.

The various $5 gigs offered through Fiverr are not just limited to graphic design work either. In fact, they also cover translation services, social networking promotions, video production jobs, and even content writing.

The platform counts 1 sale every 4 seconds and with prices ranging from 5 to 10 thousand dollars per service, there’s no telling how much business freelancers are getting done!

In fact, it can spell the difference between getting noticed and being ignored on Fiverr. 

When users scroll through listings, their eyes will gloss over the most noticeable and appealing ones. For this reason, make sure that your graphics accurately represent what you offer for potential customers to spot them more easily. 

In this day and age, buyers need to feel safe with their purchases. That’s why it is important that your thumbnail looks professional and shows what you can help clients with.

In addition, Fiverr is strict on what you can and cannot use in your gig images. In their terms of use, they do not allow the following:

  • Overuse of text
  • Copying other sellers’ thumbnails
  • Using clickbait titles when naming the image for a gig to force your sales. 

If Fiverr finds out that any one of these things is happening, they may permanently remove your account from their site as “quality” comes first to them.

Thumbnail size is critical too because there’s nothing worse than having something cropped down.

What Is Fiverr Thumbnail Size?

You can customize the size of your thumbnail on Fiverr by resolving with an aspect ratio of 550:370. 

You should upload up to 5MB for it to be uploaded successfully onto this platform, so you have plenty of room for creative customization and editing.

Offer Lower Prices On Fiverr When You Start

With Fiverr, clients can get cheap services with starting prices as low as $5. Of course, this is far from enough to make a decent living.

However, when you start off, you will want to offer good prices to gain reviews. No matter if you have experience freelancing or not, on Fiverr, you’re new, and clients don’t know you.

Research the services you offer and come up with better rates. For example, as a content writer, if the average rate is $30 for 1000 words, offer $15 to get good reviews from your clients.

Of course, this isn’t ideal, but it is worth it for your future on Fiverr as reviews are everything.

Have A Clear And Strong Call-To-Action

A “call-to-action” refers to attracting customers’ attention in order to sell their products.

Make sure that your calls-to-action are as clear as possible if you really want customers to act on them. If you have, for example, an offer with the following description: 

I will create a modern and professional logo for $5 [Add your CTA here]

The first thing users may think is: “Is there something more to this service?” And then they wonder whether it is worth taking action or not… 

Thus, make sure that the goal of your product is very clear on Fiverr. 

Always Deliver On Time

This may not always be an easy task, but it is very important if you want to have a good number of sales and positive reviews from your clients.

If someone purchases something from you and does not receive it in time… for any reason (your fault or theirs) they will likely leave bad feedback.

This tip may seem obvious for experienced business owners, but social media can really help you increase the number of sales and get more orders.

You can either do that by sharing interesting information yourself or, better, ask users who previously purchased from you to share their positive experiences with other potential buyers. 

This way, they might become interested in new offers as well. And it is always good when people want to recommend services based on their own experience rather than just describing what others say about it.

If you’re looking for more in-depth, specialized work, then I’d recommend going with Upwork. On the other hand, using Fiverr will be your best bet for simpler tasks or short-term projects.

Eventually, though, there are several ways to find clients online on both platforms and, with patience and hard work, you’ll find clients on Fiverr and Upwork.
