Things to Do on a Day Trip from Seville to Granada
Now that you have a little more context and information, let’s get into the main topic, which is a day trip to Granada, a must-do when traveling to Seville!
Yes, I understand that one day tours from Seville to Granada are rushed, but trust me, it’s enough to see the best spots, including the Alhambra!
Visit the Alhambra
The magnificent Alhambra, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is an exquisite example of Moorish art and architecture that no one should miss – That’s why the Alhambra day trip packages are among the most popular.
This Alhambra palace complex captivates with its intricate Islamic art, lush gardens of the Generalife, and panoramic views of Granada. A guided tour offers insightful stories behind the Nasrid Palaces, the Alcazaba fortress, and the Renaissance influence seen in the Palace of Charles V.
And as someone who visited the Alhambra without a guide, I can tell you that having one is priceless!
There’s an audio guide included in the visit, which you can listen while roaming around the complex, but you can’t ask questions and the internet often doesn’t work in the complex, so keep that in mind.
You should expect to spend around 3-4 hours inside the Palace to visit the most popular sections and take photos. Also, make sure to dress properly for the Alhambra, as it gets chilly in the winter!
Also, if you end up not booking a guided walking tour, make sure to get your Alhambra tickets as soon as possible, as they sell out weeks in advance!

Standing majestically in the heart of Granada, the Cathedral is a masterpiece of Spanish Renaissance architecture. Coming to this monumental site reveals its impressive facade, grand interior, and the Royal Chapel, where the Catholic Monarchs lie in eternal rest.
The cathedral’s art and architecture tell the story of Granada’s transition from Islamic to Christian rule, making it a fascinating visit, no matter if you’re into history and religion or not.
